A real faction charges in-camera only and skips the charger entirely. Before you buy
- DB-110 (GR III and GR IIIx): Ricoh's charger is the BJ-11. DB-120 (GR IV family): Ricoh's is the BJ-12.
- A DB-110 charger will not charge a DB-120, and the other way round.
- JJC's multi-slot chargers are the community default. Known quirks: slots can grip snugly, and a completely flat cell sometimes needs a kickstart in the camera before the charger sees it.
- With the DB-120 as scarce as it has been, keeping every cell you own topped up is the whole game.

Do I need a separate charger for the Ricoh GR?
No. Every current GR charges over USB-C with the battery in the camera. A separate charger earns its place once you own a spare battery and want it charging while you keep shooting.
Which charger fits the Ricoh GR IV battery?
One made for the DB-120. Ricoh's own is the BJ-12, and JJC makes a three-slot USB-C charger for the DB-120 that the community has settled on. Chargers for the GR III's DB-110 do not fit.
Why is the pick for the GR III the official Ricoh charger?
Full honesty: the community's favorite DB-110 charger is JJC's cheap multi-slot unit, but its Amazon listing has died. The official BJ-11 is the one I can actually send you to.
