External mini finder (GV-2)

Ricoh's own 28mm optical finder - the genuine match for the GR III and GR IV lens, where the GV-3 is cut for the IIIx. Small, bright, and priced like a Ricoh finder.

The GV-3 gets the attention because it is the newer part, but it frames 40mm. This is the one Ricoh makes for 28mm: a compact optical finder with a low-distortion view that slides into the hotshoe. It dates from the GR Digital era, which is why Amazon's listing names older cameras - a finder only has to match the focal length and the shoe, and both are unchanged. The honest catches are the same as its sibling's: it costs real money for a small piece of glass, it shows framing only, and it takes over the hotshoe.
